This just arrived today- I love the original wood sage and sea salt but the price tag is ridiculous so I decided to give this one a try. I sprayed one wrist with this and the other with the Jo Malone and I can honestly say I can’t tell the difference between the two. This gives me double the amount of my Jo Malone bottle for half the price! I am beyond impressed and will definitely be repurchasing from ALT!!

I have have placed multiple orders from, ALT. Fragrances. I own numerous fragrances from any number of designers, and I can honestly say that every scent that I’ve procured from, ALT., has been great! I have no complaints about the projection, the dry-down, the longevity, the composition of notes, or the quality of the juice. If there’s a scent that I don’t like, it’s a matter of personal preference, not lack of quality. So, now that I’ve pat your head and stroked your hair, it’s time to lightly smack your face. Every order that I place will contain at least one damaged bottle. Whether it’s a cracked or completely destroyed “shell” (aka bottle), a malfunctioning atomizer, or a leaky vessel, I can pretty much guarantee that I’ll receive at least one damaged product. It’s extremely frustrating for someone who is as busy as I am and doesn’t have the time to mess around with returns or replacements, nor should I have to. But, when the bottle is actually in tact and functions as it should, I don’t believe that you can obtain a higher quality fragrance at a better price! Fix the bottle issue, and you’ll have a fifth star coming your way from a loyal customer.

Fresh & clean but not soapy. It’s safe but not boring. Driftwood is similar to Jo Malone’s WS&SS but projects better and lasts longer by far! It reminds me even more of Sparkling Secret and Salty Citrus than Jo Malone’s. It’s slightly woody, salty, and I smell not just grapefruit but lemon zest as well. Driftwood isn’t my favorite Alt but it sure is a top choice on its own as well as layered. It’s non offensive and unisex. As I mentioned, nice all on its own, straight out of the shower and it’s beautiful layered under other fresh scents, esp other citrus, amber, or lavender leaning fragrances (D&B light blue, and all the flankers work so well with Driftwood).
Don’t let the beachy name and vibe fool you. While it’s crisp, it’s not sharp and there is a warmth to it which makes it a safe, nice fragrance year round. I’d say it’s a safe blind purchase unless you don’t like citrus. I’m glad I decided to purchase!

While not a bad fragrance, there’s no detectable marine/salt quality, and the wood notes are virtually non-existent. However, it is nearly indistinguishable from the sample, so four stars for accuracy. I just couldn’t get over the floral front end, and gave it to a friend who loves floral scents after two uses.
